WHEN FOLKS COME AGAINST YOU

In the words of one of my sisters, “Suck it up Cupcake!” They aren’t the first, and they certainly won’t be the last! The reality is, you will always have people who don’t like what you are doing. They don’t like what you said, don’t like how you talk, don’t like how you walk, what you wear, etc., etc., etc…. This list can go on and on and on. You can’t stop it. If they came against Jesus, if they rejected Jesus, if they spit on Jesus’ face, stabbed Jesus in the back, then my oh my…How much more do you think they will do to you? Anybody with greatness attached to their name had to go through something. Look at all the FABULOUS people of the bible… Jesus, Abraham, Moses, Paul, Joseph, and that list could go on and on as well. The trick to it…What are you going to do in the midst of your brokenness, in the midst of the rejection, in the midst of folks lying on you, talking about you, stabbing you in the back. Are you going to hold a grudge and allow them to keep you in bondage, or are you going to pray for those that persecute you as the word tells you?

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Matthew 5:44 NIV

Are you going to love them anyway, or are you going to stoop to their level and play childish or somewhat high-schoolish games. Think about it like this… No one should be worth going to hell for. If you can’t forgive them, then how can God forgive you? If you have not love, then you have not God. Don’t allow man to cause you to forfeit the promises and blessings of God all because you choose to walk in unforgiveness. Love your God. Love yourself. Love your enemies. Let’s keep it moving ya’ll. We got work to do. Silly season is OVER!!!
