The BEST is yet to Come
Apr 11, 20241 Samuel 1
12 Hannah continued to pray to the Lord for a long time, and Eli watched her lips. 13 She was praying silently; her lips were moving, but she made no sound. So Eli thought that she was drunk, 14 and he said to her, “Stop making a drunken show of yourself Stop your drinking and sober up!”
15 “No, I'm not drunk, sir,” she answered. “I haven't been drinking! I am desperate, and I have been praying, pouring out my troubles to the Lord. 16 Don't think I am a worthless woman. I have been praying like this because I'm so miserable.”
17 “Go in peace,” Eli said, “and may the God of Israel give you what you have asked him for.”
19 The next morning Elkanah and his family got up early, and after worshiping the Lord, they went back home to Ramah. Elkanah had intercourse with his wife Hannah, and the Lord answered her prayer. 20 So it was that she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel,[b] and explained, “I asked the Lord for him.”
Are you like Hannah? Have you been praying about something for a little while now and have yet to see your prayers answered? If so, join the crowd of those who are faithfully believing and trusting God for something more!
Here's one thing that I want you to understand. Hannah had been praying for years for a child. Now, you may not be praying for a baby, but you're praying for something. So...listen to this. Years of praying changed in 1 day when she encountered a prophet by the name of Eli. Eli saw that she was travailing before the Lord. He thought she was drunk, but soon learned she wasn't. Eli saw Hannah's heart. He saw that she was trusting and believing God for something major. He didn't know what that major was, but he didn't have to know. All he knew was that she was earnestly seeking God!
So, as a prophet of God, Eli walked in his mantle and authority and began to prophesy over her. He prophesied what Hannah wanted into existence. Shortly after that, Hannah was pregnant!
I want to couple my faith with yours. As a prophet of God, I am decreeing that the favor of God chases you down and overtakes you! May God grant you the desires of your heart as it aligns with His divine will and purpose for your life. I only ask one thing.... don't you dare give up in the process! It's ok to cry out. It's ok to travail like Hannah unto God. But what Hannah didn't do was give up!
Tune in to my podcast below. I break down some key things that Hannah did while she was waiting on God. It's going to bless you. Make sure to share.
